Dear members and guests,
We recently had a successful Spring meeting at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University on April 16th and 17th in Pittsburgh. A big thank you to
Professor John Kitchin who co-organized the event and to our speakers and participants. The event was vibrant with 75 attendees and 26 different organizations. Special thanks to Currie Crookston at Covestro and Sukrit Mukhopadhyay at Dow for their contribution to our Fireside chat and thanks to Roger French for moderating a lively discussion. For a glimpse of the event, visit our photo album.
We’re proud to announce our MDS-Rely Fall Meeting poster winners:
- Best Poster: Lauren Hoge, Nathan Carney, Alison Linares Mendoza, and Jessica Kneller for “RocketWatch: A GEO Satellite Threat Assessment System.”
- Runner-Up: Sylvie Crowell for “Quantifying Visual Conformity of Aerosol Jet Printed Silver Nanoparticle Ink Flexible Electronics netSEM Service Lifetime Prediction of Polymers.”
If you joined us for the Spring meeting, please share your experience through our Feedback Survey.
We’re delighted in our plans to add Carnegie Mellon University as a third site to our Center, with additional focuses in soft materials and natural language processing models. We’re excited to add new members as we grow.
Remember to join our biweekly meetings for the latest research updates. We also encourage engaging with our students through job fairs, internship and Co-Op opportunities, and senior design projects.
